With $6869 (+2,21%) Sysmex is a new addition to my wikifolio “Opportunity Engine” today. In my view, the company is among the higher-quality medtech/diagnostics stocks and is benefiting from structural growth in laboratory automation and diagnostics.
The valuation isn’t exactly cheap, and the Chinese market is weakening. However, in the recurring business of reagents and services, even a further margin recovery could already lead to stronger earnings momentum.
For the “Opportunity Engine” wikifolio, this first tranche of Sysmex primarily adds additional diversification. As a result, the cash position has fallen significantly again. The 6-month performance currently stands at around +40%.
