Considerations for LTC Properties

I like regular distributions and have been thinking about investing in $LTC (-0,53%) for some time.

LTC Properties invests in long-term real estate in the healthcare sector and focuses on retirement homes and care facilities. According to Statista, the proportion of the over 65 age group in the USA will increase from the current 17% to 21% by 2050, meaning that one in five people in the potential target group will be residents of LTC properties.

Performance has left a lot to be desired since coronavirus, but the dividend yield with a monthly distribution of 6.47% and the P/E ratio of 18.2 are interesting.

How do you think the orange man's decisions will affect the real estate sector in the USA?

@m0rten that's a mistake, it's not the profit that has to be taken into account but the FFO. FFO is $0.65 in the first quarter and covers the distribution of 3x$0.19.
By the way: share price gain since 2001 several 100% 🙂

@teschi 170% against S&P 500 over 700%. And almost no sales growth and profit growth. Why should the share price rise at all in the future. Only brings unnecessary risk to the market

@m0rten This was one of the first stocks in which I started my equity career. There are certainly better ones, but I can understand the intention behind this article. It was also exactly my train of thought. Although I have chart losses, the regular distributions over the last 6 years have more than wiped out the loss.
I would no longer invest there today, but I have also become "smarter" in the meantime. But I'll let the stock continue to run.
It doesn't hurt me and the regular cash is very good for new investments.
The investments from the dividend have already financed a few shares for me that have good returns.
So it has already paid off in more ways than one 🤷🏻‍♂️

Housing and health care REIT.... No thanks.
I'll stick with O, IRM, VICI, STAG (or PLD)
