Your feedback counts: getquin Wealth Version 2.183.0

Dear Community,

Yesterday we launched getquin Wealth - our biggest feature update to date. As always, we received a lot of feedback, and we are delighted with the positive feedback: the new financial planning in particular was very well received by you, and the number of upgrades clearly exceeded our expectations. At the same time, we also received valuable feedback on what we can do even better - thank you for that!

To put things in perspective: getquin now has three plans:

- Free: still free of charge and to the usual extent

- Premium: remains unchanged in price and functionality

- Wealth: includes all Premium functions plus

- unlimited AI chat requests

- our new goal-based financial planning tool (plan for retirement, set and track goals, simulate scenarios and much more)

We have already invested a lot of resources in these new features - and will continue to do so. Because we are convinced that AI is the future, and an individual financial plan offers enormous added value and improves results for anyone investing for the long term. Of course, we will also continue to develop the existing import, tracking and analysis functions.

One specific point from the feedback: some of you felt that wealth components were too present for Premium subscribers.

Our solution (now live with version 2.183.0):

Wealth content is now hidden by default for Premium users in the dashboard and is only displayed when the Wealth plan is active. This means that the user experience for Premium remains unchanged after the update.

The update is now available in the App Store - and the web app has also already been updated.

Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback - both positive and critical. This is the only way we can continue to develop getquin together.

Christian

I honestly think it's a shame that as a Premium user you have to pay again to use new features... then in 3 years there will be a higher level again and Wealth will be the new Premium? It's really not very user-friendly that you have to pay a lot more for Premium, but maybe that's just the way things are. I feel a bit like EA here - buy Fifa and pay extra to get Rudi Völler in a platinum-plated rainbow gold titanium card. As a premium user, you expect to get more content over time through updates, rather than paying extra for new content.

@MontyMaulwurf Additional functions, which presumably also have some additional running costs in the background, and then it should be included in the normal subscription?

ChatGPT Premium costs 23€ per month.
Who knows how many people here have bought Premium for maybe 40€ per year (or less).

In contrast to EA, there is at least something more than a nice skin ;)

And for normal Premium, new features have been added over time without any price increase.
Cash flow, heatmaps etc.

I think it's legitimate that an additional upgrade is required.
If you're not interested in the functions, you can stay with the normal Premium.

The alternative would probably be to integrate the functions and increase the price of all subscriptions.

@MontyMaulwurf a) We are constantly adding new features even for existing plans - see, for example, the net worth overview or the cash flow analysis in recent weeks.
b) New features also mean new costs for us (especially for AI, where current models are very expensive).
Instead of raising prices for everyone, we have decided to offer different tiers - so everyone can choose what they need and keep their price in the long term.
In our view, this is a much better solution. Offering more and more services for the same price simply doesn't work economically.

I don't get this feedback... Was anything removed from your subscription? No. Why complain then? It's like you bought a Mercedes Series C then Mercedes launched Series E and you think you are entitled to get the E....

@MontyMaulwurf To be honest, I can't understand it. The distinction between Premium and Wealth is very clear and Wealth serves a completely separate use case instead of just offering a few extensions.

immagine del profilo
@MontyMaulwurf Isn't that now available almost everywhere? There are different models depending on the use case. It's been like this for tens of years when you buy a car, but it's the same when you go for digital subscriptions.
Amazon Video is available as Prime with few ads or Prime with lots of ads.
Scalable also has Professional and wealth.

It's completely normal and even gives you the opportunity to consider whether you need everything or whether the normal premium is enough.

@Staatsmann yo, or like me back to the free version from the end of the year. don't see the added value of premium. AI check that tells me I have a lot of tech because MSCI world? cool. Honestly, the widget on the homescreen is still the biggest benefit. Unfortunately, the tiering between free, premium and wealth is not successful either.

aja, and you _still_ can't display an individual time period (greater than 1 year, less than max). Yes, I already wrote support, but no, unfortunately I have to switch to Finanzen.net for that lol.

I, like apparently many others, subscribe to Premium mainly because I expect to receive additional AND new content through my subscription. It smacks of a thread if there are no more new features for Premium and the costs still remain the same. After all, the development costs are higher than the maintenance costs. For all Premium users, this change is a clear downgrade: you pay the same price for an end product as you did before for a product that you had hoped would provide you with new features and added value. I will consider renewing my subscription at this point.

@MontyMaulwurf
Just some of the new content for Premium this year:

- Heatmaps on the securities pages
- Cash flow overview as Sankey
- Individual time periods for benchmarking and total return
- Bar chart for the return per security on the securities page
- Total return chart for individual securities on the securities pages

Free updates:
- Connecting bank accounts from German banks
- Connecting loans via banks
- Automatic recording of interest payments for bank accounts, Trade Republic, Scalable Capital
- Possibility to record bank accounts, debts and co. even without bank details

So don't say that we don't publish updates for Premium.
Even users who do not pay for getquin will continue to receive free updates, new functions and the like from us.

Not to mention many smaller changes in the background.
4
@Kundenservice where is the individual time period in my overall portfolio? not benchmarking, but the overview. edit: fix the basics :(
immagine del profilo
@FlyingPhil If you don't like the functions, it's a legitimate decision.

But some people in the comments are acting as if the new additional subscription is taking something away from them, which is simply nonsense.
Either you want the new functions and pay for them or you stay with Premium or continue to use the free version.

Companies have to earn money and, as far as I know, getquin is also a commercial enterprise, not a gGmbH.
It's completely legitimate for me to monetize additional functions, to be honest.

It's normal that you don't have all the functions you would like to have. I also asked for a few desired functions years ago that were not implemented.

https://feedback.getquin.com/roadmap

You can vote publicly, but apparently others don't think my ideas are cool enough to get any significant response. That's just the way it is, because life is not a concert of wishes.

I would like to be able to hide the functions if I don't want to use them.

@GreenWash That's exactly what we released today. Which app version are you using?
1
immagine del profilo
@christian The version was 2.182.0
It worked with the new update, thank you very much! 🙂
2
immagine del profilo
@GreenWash Can you use an ad-block feature in your browser or on your cell phone?
Give us the option to take a monthly subscription for Wealth. I first want to see if it's any good before paying 120 dollar.
24
immagine del profilo
@asset_whisperer_1188 We will add a monthly Plan soon.
2
@asset_whisperer_1188 $120 in total or in addition to what you already pay for Premium?
I've had errors in the chart display for a year now, so I'd think about it if it were ever fixed
16
immagine del profilo
@Invesdos I can only confirm this. Despite premium, the data is constantly incorrect. It only gets better with persistent requests.

The proportionality is not right. The costs are at the level of professional tools, but the functions are not and many parts are still very faulty. You have to turn a pretty big portfolio wheel to justify the costs.
13
Nice crap, and then cheekily cash in! What was Beta tested for? If you're older than 55, you can't enter a date of birth. How is the pension calculation supposed to work? What a joke!

@strategy_savant_2392 Platform and version?

On the web we have up to 1925 available.
immagine del profilo
@strategy_savant_2392 - the error has already been fixed in the latest app version :)

I think it's a shame that Premium users don't even have the opportunity to test the new functions free of charge
11
immagine del profilo
@WeissD Fair point, Daniel. You can already test AI for free today. We're thinking about how we can implement this for financial planning too.
4
@WeissD I agree. 3 days / 7 days test period would be enough to test the look and feel and see if it sparks. But unfortunately this is not planned. I've already written to support and asked them

Thank you for taking feedback to heart and, above all, for taking action. I think the WealthPlan is good and hope that the AI will improve. Sometimes I don't get the correct feedback.
(Example: I ask how many dividends I will receive this month and the answer I get is a list of those I have already received).
Maybe this has something to do with regulations or something.

But it's still in its infancy.
Otherwise great!
10
immagine del profilo
@DividendenWaschbaer - Thank you for the feedback! In general, the AI is able to answer your question. However, sometimes the agent still struggles with the question, i.e. it doesn't understand future dividends but does understand announced dividends (or vice versa). We will continuously improve this!

Thank you for the quick implementation of yesterday's feedback. However, please also make it possible to delete data that has already been entered. Thank you very much
10
immagine del profilo
@Paddy_ro Yes, it should definitely be possible to delete the data again!
immagine del profilo
@Paddy_ro Data will be automatically deleted by us in a timely manner. Until then, please contact customer service.
immagine del profilo
@Paddy_ro Simply contact our team and we can delete the data you have entered if necessary so that you can return to the start of wealth onboarding.

This will also automatically remove the investment goals.

Simply request via help@getquin.com or the chats in the app and web app.
Where are all the settings to iterate on the wealth plan as parameters change?
immagine del profilo
On a different note, when will there finally be an app adapted for the iPad?
8
immagine del profilo
@Pete_Mitchell I was once told that none was coming because there are too few users who use it on the iPad, but at the same time a completely new team would be needed for development and maintenance.
immagine del profilo
@DividendenWaschbaer Would you like to know how they know that? If there is no iPad app. Besides, Ipad OS is now almost the same as iOS
1
immagine del profilo
@Pete_Mitchell Perhaps based on feedback/requests or usage statistics from app users (you can see how many users access getquin via the app. Or maybe there are statistics on how many users search for the getquin app in the iPad AppStore. But I'm not sure about that. But I trust getquin on that, because theoretically (if it wasn't true) they would be missing out on a potential source of income.
immagine del profilo
@DividendenWaschbaer Seriously, I don't know of any provider in this field that doesn't offer an iPad app. It makes perfect sense, you simply have more space on the iPad. And running the iPhone app "enlarged" on the iPad is simply embarrassing.
2
immagine del profilo
@Pete_Mitchell The alternative would probably be to block the app on MacOS and iPad and show that they are not available for the device, right?

I've been using the web version on the tablet for everyone, as it has more functions anyway.

But I personally don't mind that there is no tablet version.
1
@christian I still have a premium subscription at 4.99 per month. What would happen if I upgraded to wealth? Do I then have to pay the same wealth fee? So I would lose my cheap subscription, correct?
7
immagine del profilo
@Iudicium none of this makes sense. Better to invest the €150 in an etf
3

Reminds me of one of the new Black Mirror episodes. I can't wait to see what comes after Wealth. My prediction: Wealth Exclusive ;)
7
immagine del profilo
To be honest, I'm pretty disappointed. The AI assistant only works sporadically. I seem to need the web version to really work with the savings goal - but I only use getquin via the app.

So I've canceled the subscription for now and will probably lose my discounted Premium subscription - since I could only cancel the subscription in total.

I'm more than disappointed

While I understand that developing new features, especially AI-powered ones, incurs significant costs, it’s disappointing that existing Premium subscribers aren’t even offered a trial period to experience these new functionalities. This approach feels more transactional than customer-centric. As a Premium member, I’ve supported the platform from an earlier stage, and it would demonstrate genuine appreciation if we were given the opportunity to test new features before being asked to upgrade. This isn’t about demanding everything for free; it’s about being treated as a valued partner in the platform’s growth.

From a pure business standpoint, alienating your existing base risks higher churn and negative word-of-mouth, which can outweigh the gains from upselling a fraction of users. Data from Big4 consulting companies consistently shows that retaining a customer is 5–25x cheaper than acquiring a new one, and loyal customers are more likely to upgrade if they feel the relationship is reciprocal.

In summary:
I’m not asking for all new features to be free, but I do believe Premium users deserve at least a fair trial period for new tiers. This would show respect for our loyalty and could actually drive more conversions to higher plans. Ignoring this risks losing the very community that helped build the platform’s success.

I hope the team reconsiders this approach, not just for fairness, but for the long-term health of the business

Top thanks - as a premium user I felt a bit cheated that you pay and still get unnecessary tabs displayed - this is a much better solution @christian

Out of interest, I entered my data such as net income, date of birth etc. to see a price at the end of this process that amazed me.
Take my data as a gift... :)

I have updated to the new version, but this Wealth is still displayed. I am not a Wealth subscriber, but a Premium customer.
A slider in the settings etc. would be great. @christian @Kundenservice

Use Android 15 Nothing Phone (2), OS 3.0

I would find it very interesting if a better outlook on the dividend forecast would be given. Forecast development of the next 3 years, forecasted CAGR, average return % of the whole portfolio,... @christian
2
immagine del profilo
I would say congratulations for the new functionality however my pets opinion that keep adding tiers with new price models from businesswise is not always right especially when it comes to investing and financial management since the goal of any investor is to minimize the costs and increase the income / profit

We change brokers platforms or crypto ones based on costs vs value

We reduce even uncessary subscriptions if it bleeds our wallets with small monthly or yearly costs

Anyway I know that new functions might be useful but people will always consider at what cost they will get the value
