No, this is possible with the WisdomTree products (https://www.wisdomtree.eu/de-at/-/media/eu-media-files/other-documents/faq/faq-sgbs---investing-in-gold_tax-benefits_de.pdf) and of course with $4GLD. There may be other offers.
They all seem to be optimized for the tax situation in Germany. An expert from Austria would have to tell you how it is in Austria.
