A question for the TR users here who also $SOLV WI (-0,71%) from the spin-off of $MMM (+1,46%) have received.

Do you have a buy-in price on file?

I would like to sell - but would like to know beforehand how much it will cost in terms of tax. I think there will be a loss - but how much? If the loss is still too high, I would wait and deposit a limit sale.

Or has anyone already sold and can say something about the tax? Do I have to pay tax on the entire sale proceeds?

I have buy-in € 0.00 so I (Austria) pay 27.5% of the position on sale
Zero for me too. So sale is 100% profit less tax.
The equity of 3M was not allocated accordingly.

I was given an entry price of 92.39

@Sbart392 interesting - thanks to you. Has the buy-in at $MMM also been adjusted downwards?
For me, it would be interesting to know whether I am doing something for my share loss pot with the sale or whether I am charging the tax-free amount.
For me with ING it was 100% profit. Of the 655€ market value, 466€ remained.

No buy-in for scalable either. I'm sure the entry value will come out of some mail. I'm thinking about buying 1stk and then selling. Let's see what happens. I don't have many shares anyway.

You have to pay tax because the spin-off is similar to a dividend that you have received in the form of shares. I already sold when I received the shares and was charged tax, but only because I had already used up my tax-free allowance.

@MartyMcFly i.e. capital gains tax + solidarity surcharge + possibly corporation tax on the entire sale proceeds?
@Dividenden-Sammler That's what it looks like, yes.
