Hello everyone,

now I can finally post one #meilenstein post 🥳

I've been investing since 2017 (but only in company shares). Then in 2021 I started properly and invested everything I had saved.

The $BRK.B (+0,69%) position will hopefully serve to pay off my loss pot at some point, which has grown to around € 1800 due to a lot of back and forth.

When I have paid this off, everything will go into the $VWCE (+0,6%).

$BTC (+1,65%) At the end of the year, when the 1-year holding period is over, it will also be transferred to the All World.

My current monthly savings rate is €1000, plus special savings rates from time to time.

My investment horizon is until retirement (another 19 years). But the aim is to reach the millions before then (hopefully in 2039).

@DividendenWaschbaer What is your prognosis? You must have calculated
immagine del profilo
@GoDividend As if the raccoon can do math
immagine del profilo
@DonkeyInvestor One dustbin and another dustbin makes 1 full Dyson
1
immagine del profilo
@GoDividend shouldn't it be 1 full Dyson and another full Dyson equals a full garbage can?
immagine del profilo
@DonkeyInvestor You are both wrong. @Barsten has a custom-made product, so 1 Dyson = 1 dustbin.

And yes, it has been calculated. As things stand, the million could be there in 17 years. Let's see what happens.

@DividendenWaschbaer I underestimated the Dyson
immagine del profilo
@DividendenWaschbaer what will happen? Adjusted for inflation, I estimate that 1 million will have the equivalent of 500,000 in purchasing power today. 🫤
immagine del profilo
@Reminder Never mind. I'll still be a millionaire. What's more, my salary will (hopefully) also increase, as will my savings rate, which in turn will result in a higher final sum.
Of course, my calculation doesn't take inflation into account, but it does include any increases in savings rates
And therefore: let's see what happens 😅

@DividendenWaschbaer my Dyson has a .zip function and compresses everything by 87.45% so that the capacity of a 260l. garbage can.

$BTC I would keep it. The few bucks won't hurt you overall. Maybe he'll go through again properly, especially as you're talking about 19 years old

@Bein-Godik I had already thought about it. I recently switched everything back from Ledger Nano X to Bison. I've already more than recouped my investment through partial sales.
However, I don't want to buy another hardware wallet. And the Ledger is not so optimal after all.
Well, let's see. I'll have to wait until November/December before I can sell anyway.
immagine del profilo
@six If you just want to hold it, the ledger is enough. The security concerns are wildly exaggerated. There can be a backdoor in any wallet. If that doesn't let you sleep, then dice yourself a paper wallet
immagine del profilo
@Bein-Godik It's all quite complicated.
Of course, it should also be easy for the bereaved to access in an emergency. For someone who has no technical interest at all (like my partner), this would be a horror and the Sats would go to waste 😂

@six Just like me😂

@six At least I was able to teach her that the 24 English words in the bank safe deposit box are important

@six You don't have to throw away your ledger, the important thing is the 24 words. As @Bein-Godik rightly says, you can put them in the safe deposit box with a small note, for example. Then you never have to pick up the ledger again :)
In the distant future, you could also buy any other wallet and enter the 24 words - and send your Bitcoin with it.

@stefan_21 I also used Ledger Live. And updated Ledger every now and then. The last time I accidentally deleted everything. That was the dress rehearsal to see if it really works with the recovery with the seed.
But since I don't really have a PC anymore, the updates annoy me. That's exactly why I got the Nano x with Bluetooth, because I wanted to be PC-independent.

@six Important: You don't have to do a single update :)
On the contrary, with hardware wallets it is not always necessary to make every update - see the recovery function that Ledger has suddenly introduced.

It would therefore be completely legitimate if you put the seed phrase in the safe deposit box and the ledger with dazu🤷‍♂️

@six Something similar happened to me with the Trezor. I thought I'd update the firmware after a while and a Windows update popped up at exactly the same moment. Conclusion: Trezor bricked and scrap. Pulse to 180. 0.5 BTC gone ....Support only in English and eternal technical ping pong what I should do... after realizing that I hadn't done anything wrong, they sent me a new one with an 80% discount and then used the holy seed note to recorvern.

I haven't updated it since. 😂
immagine del profilo
@Papiertiger like 0.5 BTC gone?😲
Didn't you have a backup?

EDIT: You should be able to read😂 that's exactly what the seed is for😅

Keep it simple is a mega motto 🚀 I see that you have 175k invested in a single financial product. Aren't you afraid that this financial product will be liquidated?

@iTom not at all. The fund volume is gigantic.

Wow, by far the smallest portfolio in the 6-digit range that I have seen here so far. When I consider that there are portfolios in the 4-digit range with 20-25 positions and more, this is minimalistic. Does something like this even count as a portfolio? 🤓😎😂
1
immagine del profilo
@Reminder It will probably even be reduced by 2 positions (Berkshire and Bitcoin). 😂

And as long as the return doesn't remain minimalist, I'm happy. Very few portfolios with 20-25 positions will probably outperform mine over the next 20 years 😉

Congratulations, sometimes I ask myself whether I wouldn't have been better off keeping my portfolio so clean. I wouldn't sell the few bitcoins if I were you, but just wait and see how it develops. It's only a small position anyway.

I am thrilled by your clarity @six!

I should take an example from it.... really respect for that 🙏

where did the 100k at the beginning come from? less than a year
immagine del profilo
@FlorianoPerlini Had everything in the call money account until then. I also canceled Riester and Kapital LV and invested everything

Not bad, with 1-2 better ETFs there would be a lot more in it.
immagine del profilo
@benkli78 For me, there is no better ETF than the All World.
1
immagine del profilo
@six ok, respect that this ETF is enough for you.
