I think you would have been better off with Bitcoin Only🙃

@stefan_21 What is your opinion: Would you currently open a new/first position near the ATH at $BTC or would you rather wait for a correction?

@femkelbn If you currently have 0 Bitcoin, I would definitely start :)
But I wouldn't put the entire amount you want to invest in BTC in at once. I mean, we don't know whether the cycles will continue like this and we don't know exactly where the top will be and how low the price will fall afterwards. Personally, I don't expect any more 70-80% corrections because there are far too many institutions and far too few retailers in the market for that, but you never know.

So my advice would be to simply start with a savings plan. Then you buy the average price over a longer period of time and can also survive corrections in a relaxed manner, because then you get more Bitcoin for your money :)

@stefan_21 Thank you very much! I already had a Bitcoin position until a few months ago, but then had to liquidate my entire portfolio for various reasons. Now I'm starting again and struggling a bit with myself, I opened my Bitcoin position at the time at a price of around €32,000 - so of course it hurts a bit to get back in at the ATH... 🥲

@femkelbn I can well understand that it hurts😅 But it's not so bad. You have to start again somewhere, and better sooner than later. We probably won't see the €32,000 again.
And waiting for it and being annoyed year after year that you've missed out on starting again is also stupid.

And going all in now at over €100,000 wouldn't be a problem in the long term, but if you do it now and we see a 70% drawdown again, you'll be annoyed again.

That's why I would either go in in several tranches over several months or simply set up a savings plan.
I, for example, have been running a savings plan for several years and then always buy more when there are corrections of >20%. Perhaps that would also be a suitable strategy :)

@Investingyoung I would say that time has already spoken :)
My tip for you would clearly be to get more involved with Bitcoin and specifically try to understand the difference between Bitcoin and altcoins. I don't mean that in a bad way at all - almost everyone has an altcoin phase - especially if you haven't been in the market that long.

@stefan_21 That sounds like a very good and well thought-out strategy! 🤗 That could actually be something for me too. And you're right, waiting now for something that might never happen again is also stupid. I'll start by creating a savings plan, thank you very much! ☺️
