Start investing in 2025

Hi guys, I have decided to start investing in 2025 after thinking about it for a long time.

Since I personally only have a basic knowledge in this area, I think it's great that you can exchange ideas with experienced people here.

Since I am very interested in crypto myself and find the history very exciting, the area looks like this for me $BTC (-0,34%) , $ETH (-0,2%) and $NEAR (-0,62%)

why I have included NEAR is a very funny story that would go beyond the scope for the beginning.

Commodities: Gold and silver to fight inflation

ETF: MSCI WORLD, MSCI EMERGING MARKETS and the NASDAQ 100

I have also added NVIDIA as an individual share in the conviction that many innovative ideas are still emerging in the AI sector.

I am happy to be part of it and look forward to the exchange with the community

MSCI world, as a strongly usa and tech-heavy etf, is supplemented with a 100% usa tech-heavy etf, which you push separately in the sector through NVIDIA. Incidentally, the share is already included in the two etfs mentioned. Are you aware of these facts?

@Dr27589 not directly, to be honest. Does that mean I've diversified badly?

@ItsOlafSnowman take a look at the composition of the etfs, then you will be able to answer the question quickly :)

Whether the strategy performs better or not as an alternative is of course up in the air.

@Dr27589 ok thank you 🙏

Actually ok as long as you save them with a savings plan if you go all in on the above I fear worse performance than the market in the next 1-2 years!

@TheRealDarthVader I save for this with savings plans

@ItsOlafSnowman Then may the Force be with you!

Remember to take a close look at the valuations of the stocks as you entered at a general high, otherwise good that you started!

@user35903002213 Thanks for the tip, yes I got in very high, I realize that

@user35903002213 time in the market beats timing the market tho

@ETF_Jesus Thats true, just make sure you don't need to wait 5 years to break even if you buy too high ;-)

@user35903002213 so statistically speaking, you take virtually no risk with world etfs from the age of 13. Therefore, the investment horizon should be 40 years or so :))

@ETF_Jesus My goal is also long-term

@ItsOlafSnowman yes, that's how it has to be

If I have basic knowledge, I would invest extensively in an All World $VWRL and for the thrill of it all I would use a $BTC savings plan or ETF. And then take my time to acquire the knowledge. Maybe you don't like the subject at all, but then you'll at least have the All World and a bit of Bitcoin and can enjoy it. Or become a pro, then you can expand. Either way, the most important thing is to start investing

@JuppDupp Correct point. However, I have previously traded with fictitious portfolios where I got a bit of a feel for the whole thing.

@ItsOlafSnowman Real money is always something else. The risk game mode is somewhat smaller

Nice to see you getting started! 👍🏼. You sound more like a momentum fan. Take a look at $XDEM. With ETF combinations it is crucial to know what is in the ETF. Your selection also seems to me to be less diversified and very USA-heavy (which is not bad per se, of course, but it just has to be conscious and in line with your strategy ;-))

@pyrler yes, I have already been told that, I was not aware that several individual stocks are also distributed in many ETFs, I was definitely allowed to learn that here and I thank you very much for your tip and your suggestions.
