Really boring wallets

Hello,

I'm looking for examples of boring but profitable portfolios.

The kind that are well-structured and, with just 2–3 buys or sells per year, are in the black at the end of each quarter.

I see a lot of speculators and gamblers; I see portfolios that are impossible to replicate or are simply fake.

I want to see examples of “boring” portfolios.

And of course, here’s my own “boring” portfolio:

50% $XEON (+0%)

48% Equities (non-ETF)

2% (Little toy $WMGT (-0,9%) )

@DEW_7240 I find that interesting.
Gold—is it just to serve as a reserve in case the developed market declines? To reduce volatility?
••
@Kspykee diversification in a different asset class. Not cash reserve.
In Germany some physical gold ETC can be sold with 0% tax if held for >12 months. So as long as this rule remains gold jas a nice bonus to it.

@DEW_7240 In Spain, we don't have that tax advantage.
We only have the option to transfer between non-ETF funds at no cost.
We can sell (paying capital gains tax) or transfer between funds at no cost. Everything else is subject to taxation.

@Kspykee You can buy physical gold at your local jewelry store as an investment, and it is exempt from VAT. Of course, this refers to investment gold—not jewelry, but gold bars.

In Germany the ETC that gives you the option to deliver the physical gold if you want (just the option needs to exist) are treated like described above - physical investment gold you buy/sell at the gold shop or bank.

But aside from that gold can carry in times when stocks are under pressure. If this will be true in the future I can't say. This year has been "interesting".

I think mine is boring, but maybe you'll see it differently
••
@strategy_savant_3345 It's just as boring (and consistent) as mine xD
Except for BTC. I can't fall asleep every time I check it.
••
@strategy_savant_3345 Boring—just one ETF, and then off to bed

@Kspykee The trick with BTC is to get a good average purchase price—for example, around 50–60k€. I realized this when I already had an average purchase price of 100k and the price had dropped by 40%—hahaha.

@strategy_savant_3345 I got in a couple of times and got out as soon as the price went up.
I also got lucky with ETH, but these days, that makes me feel more uneasy than confident.
