ETF distribution tax-free in August?

Hello everyone,

I have received the August distribution for both companies. In principle, it is rather meager. Both are on my hit list.

But what surprises me. Yesterday the distributions were booked tax-free at Trade Republic.

The tax-free allowance has long since been exhausted.

Is this just a mistake by TR or is it due to the ETF or is there some other reason?

$FUSD (+0,03%)
$FGEQ (+0,11%)

Did you still have withholding tax credits? You can check with TR to see if the pot is still full.

And why did you invest in the two ETFs in the first place - has anything changed in the investment thesis in the meantime or is it just because they are not doing so well at the moment? Just saying back and forth empties your pockets. Returns are achieved over time and not by constantly going back and forth. I'm happy when it gets cheaper because then there's more monthly and you lower the cost price.

@Dividenden-Sammler No, I'm putting them in my wife's custody account. There are no sales or anything else there yet.

@trade_commander_2498 Withholding tax credit has nothing to do with sales but with foreign income and an exemption order deposited with the broker for the custody account.

Have you ever looked at the new purchase price? Sometimes it corrects downwards to include the tax

@Vegasrobaina As far as I know, there is no such thing in Germany. That would be an extremely practical tax deferral 😅

@randomdude is nothing unusual in AT. Happens regularly with my dividend payouts 😁

You may have a loss pot due to sales in the red or your exemption order has not yet been exhausted!

@felipeestupendo I hadn't sold anything in this custody account and no more allowance. I thought that it might have something to do with the partial exemption.

@trade_commander_2498 That's only 30%. I guess something went wrong and the tax will be calculated retrospectively at some point.
