Palantir Technologies Inc.
$PLTR (+2,27%) is, according to The Information is in talks to enter the drone-startup Shield AI which has raised its valuation in a new round of financing round to 5 billion USD in a new financing round.
The San Diego-based company develops AI-supported software for autonomous drones and airplanes and plans to invest around 200 million USD in funding.
Among the expected investors include Palantir also Airbus Group SE

reported the Financial Times.
Venture capital firms such as Andreessen Horowitz, Point72 and Riot Ventures are said to be involved in the financing round.
This investment would support Palantir's strategic goal of expanding its AI capabilities in the defense sector in the defense sector.
Palantir has not yet publicly commented on the talks and further details remain unclear.
