✈️ Buy Order Executed: Boeing

Today, my buy order for $BA (-0,3%) was triggered after the stock fell below the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level from its ATH.

The recent weakness follows Boeing's latest earnings release. While the company reported revenue growth, positive operating cash flow, and a record backlog of $745 billion, the market reacted negatively to a slower-than-expected production ramp-up and a more cautious free cash flow outlook.

For me, this is exactly where my Blue Chip Fibonacci Strategy comes into play:

✅ Predefined buy levels

✅ Position sizing according to plan

✅ Risk management first

✅ No emotional decisions

Boeing remains one of the world's leading aerospace and defense stocks, with a backlog of more than 6,300 commercial aircraft and continued demand for fuel-efficient aircraft.

Will the stock fall further? Maybe. If so, then I'll rebuy at predefined levels. Will it recover? Time will tell ⏳

Not that I'm an expert in the field but from all the media coverage and Netflix Docu-Films I have the feeling that the next Boeing plane crash is just a blink away. So many former engineers have been raising concerns over the past years that Boeing for me feels like a sure "no no".
As I'm not following them closely: Is there something I'm missing :D

@pivot_code Yes, security issues are still a headache. Not to mention the 30 already built 777x that are getting rusty and need expensive retrofitting and nobody wants. Maybe in late 2027 we can see how it goes.

@Balance_seeker @pivot_code Fair points from both of you. If I based my investments solely on Netflix documentaries, I'd probably have all my money in cash and be living in a bunker 😄
Boeing absolutely deserves a lot of the criticism regarding quality and safety culture. I'm not arguing that those issues magically disappeared overnight. And yes, the 777X delays, certification hurdles, and retrofitting costs are real concerns.
What I find interesting is that despite all that, Kelly Ortberg and Boeing are sitting on a record backlog of $745 billion and more than 6,300 commercial aircraft orders, while demand for new aircraft remains very strong. The company also recently achieved certification milestones for the 737-7 and 737-10 programs.
So my thesis isn't "Boeing is perfect." It's more "everyone already knows Boeing isn't perfect" 😄

From my Blue Chip Fibonacci perspective, I don't need the company to become flawless tomorrow. I only need the market to be more pessimistic than reality. That's why I'm scaling in gradually instead of making an all-or-nothing bet.

And if things get worse? Well, that's why I have more Fibonacci levels waiting below 📉✈️

@MikeUpegui well orders can be closed based on delays. That happened in the past. The truth is that demand for new efficient jets is crazy these days with the price of jet fuel. Orders queue for Airbus A320neo is 7 years...

@Balance_seeker Exactly 👍 Demand is a key point. Airlines need more fuel-efficient aircraft, and with Airbus booked out for years, Boeing and other companies still has a huge market opportunity despite all the issues.

Pilot proverb:
“If it’s a Boeing, I ain’t going”

Watch the Netflix documentary about Boeing, you sure you want THAT to have your money??

@Fred999 Don't worry. I'm not giving my money to Boeing. In fact, I'm trying to get them to give me theirs! Besides, if Netflix documentaries were investment advice, my portfolio would consist of serial killers, dru9 c4rt3ls and tiger owners! 😄🐯

@MikeUpegui Well, in the documentary they analyse pretty well how Boeing cut down their cost by making worse planes. The 737 Max for example is an Engineering nightmare. It’s only a matter of time until a Boeing performs another crash.

Just asking, Why would you buy Boeing stocks if there is Airbus
