Hello all,

after I wrote my first and only post in getquin about 2 months ago and I had only a rough idea of my strategy at that time, today follows my personal strategy.

First of all many thanks to @DonkeyInvestor for the great template for portfolio feedback.

Step 1: About me and my investment horizon and goals

I am 33, married and have 3 children. I am a team leader in an IT company. My wife and I own two apartments, one is owner-occupied, the other is rented. Both still with remaining debt. My investment horizon is between 20-30 years and is intended to supplement our pension and give our children a good start in the "adult world".

Step 2: My strategy

Until two months ago, I was of the opinion that I needed individual stocks in addition to my $VWCE (+0,29%) need. After several sleepless nights and countless researches, I decided on a core-satelite strategy. I am betting on about 90% ETF and about 10% crypto (gambler position).

Step 4: My Depot

The following ETFs are in my portfolio

  • $VWCE (+0,29%) - Savings plan 700€/month
  • $MEUD (-0,05%) - Savings plan 150€/month (US share is to be reduced thereby somewhat)
  • $SEMI (+1,35%) - Savings plan 25€/month (I hold a lot of the industry and is also somewhat job-related)
  • $LOCK (+0,56%) - Savings plan 25€/month (Holds a lot of the industry and is also somewhat job-related)

From 2024 I will reduce the $MEUD (-0,05%) to 100€ and reduce the $SEMI (+1,35%) and the $LOCK (+0,56%) increase to 50€ to get a better percentage weighting.

The following crypto are in my portfolio

Step 4: Depot expansion

I want to keep my current portfolio for at least the next 5 years, because I don't want to deal with rebalancing. As soon as I have more money (loan paid off, salary increase, etc.) the position of the $VWCE (+0,29%) will be further expanded and possibly another gambler position will be added.

Step 5: What I do not want to have

Currently I do not want to have any dividend positions, who knows what will be in 5 years.

A nest egg in the checking and call money account exists and also continues to grow.

Step 6: Share absolute values

Please give me constructive feedback on my portfolio!

(All)World-Core 🤝 Semiconductors🤝 Cybersecurity 🤝 Bitcoin 🤝 Job in IT 🤝 Not chasing dividends 🤝 Somehow I like your portfolio, don't know why 😁 Whereby I rather bet on the individual stocks than on the ETF. To avoid sleepless nights, but not wrong, although I hope more from the individual company at acceptable cost prices, than from the ETF by savings plan.

Why do you want to reduce the USA share? I would not do that. Your sector ETFs are too specific for me personally. I would rather choose a general IT ETF and liquidate both sector ETFs. Otherwise it sounds good 👍

@DonkeyInvestor Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the US share it was a pure gut feeling and I am currently always between 50-55% and this is more than sufficient for me. The sectors ETFs are one or the other too special. I personally believe that the market will continue to develop and do not see any top dog (except $NVDA).

@DerETFnewbie the US companies are global companies that make sales everywhere. They only have their headquarters in the USA, because the general conditions, culture, ... are particularly good. And should this no longer be the case, this will also be reflected in the composition of the ETF.

@DonkeyInvestor Valid and for me conclusive argument. What I have learned in my short getquin time, stay true to your strategy and the rest will show the future 😉

@DerETFnewbie who says something like that? A strategy can and should be checked regularly to ensure it is up to date and makes sense. Why are you asking for feedback if you don't want to change anything anyway?

More than solid savings rate and good selection of stocks. Sector ETFs are of course a matter of taste, but if it keeps you motivated, why not :-) Otherwise, we seem to be relatively similarly positioned - which of course gives us sympathy points. In addition, same age and job sector. I keep my fingers crossed for the future :-)

@ChickenHenne many thanks! Have directly looked at your portfolio and can return the sympathy points!

This reads like a nice plan! You just forgot the savings plans for the kids ;-)

@Horstiiii I deliberately don't want to have a savings plan or junior custody account for my children. My wife and I decide when and what they get. I am fully aware that I am giving away the tax advantage.
