My wife and I (childless) do it in a similar way.
Our deposits aren't as high, but we're currently buying our 3rd property to rent out.
In the long term, we both hardly want to work in our early 60s, so we'll see how the next 20-25 years go 😬

@Kapital_Koala Then I'll keep my fingers crossed that your strategy will still work in 20 years' time! But it should be feasible if you are consistent and politics doesn't throw a spanner in the works!
