Investment decision

I am currently toying with the idea of investing around €10,000 in Alphabet shares. The company's long-term prospects and its broad-based business model seem very promising to me. Nevertheless, I'm still a little unsure whether now is the right time to invest - especially in terms of valuation and the general market environment.

What do you think - would you invest in Alphabet today if you plan to hold the stock for at least 10 years?

I don't know how you are positioned otherwise! $GOOGL is certainly a good investment opportunity in the long term, but with a lot of uncertainty at the moment. Antitrust investigations, problems with $AAPL because of the app store. Fewer Google searches due to AI, presumably resulting in a decline in advertising revenue. I would therefore split the money between 2-3 long-term growth stocks, e.g. $GOOGL, $AMZN and $IBM or $META

In any case, there should be another downward correction. I would wait and see if that is the case.

@FYBSTRD I can't say for sure, but it's best to watch the price over the next few weeks. This is not my analysis. It could now see another slight high, but then slip into a low target zone (to buy) of around USD 150. I am already invested with a small amount and am waiting to see if this happens.

@schlimmschlimm It could go up slightly but then it could go down, did I understand that correctly? and the only option is to watch the price? Are there any signals to watch out for when it starts to go down? I could go long with leverage and short with leverage when the signal is there, right?

yes, but I would wait at least the next few days for a small setback, we will soon be at the all-time high, S&P500 , NASDAQ - this will not continue without a setback

$GOOG $AMZN as individual assets is always possible. Do that and in a few years you'll have 20,000 Eur
