Who benefits from the reconstruction of Ukraine?

Yes, it's a macabre topic - but the reconstruction of Ukraine will bring investment and economic opportunities that are already being talked about. The question is: which companies could benefit the most? Will construction companies like $DG (+0,24%) and $HOT (+3,04%) , machine manufacturers such as $CAT (-0,26%) or energy companies like $ENR (+9,72%) get the biggest contracts? Who do you think could play a central role in this reconstruction project?

Who, when and how is rebuilt there depends above all on the outcome of the war. All Russian-occupied territories are being "rebuilt" by Putin's bosom buddies with minimal delay and any difference between orders and expenditure ends up in the next yacht.

@Europoor Yes, you're right about that. I've been thinking about that too, especially in relation to the possibility of Trump winning the election. In such a case, it is very likely that Ukraine will not receive any further arms supplies from the US, which could make their situation much worse. Reconstruction by Europe, as you have described, would then not be possible.

@MrStonkss I don't want to play the devil's advocate, but if Trump wins the election on November 5, Ukraine won't be the only country to lose. Because I also fear that Putin will one day invade the next country, including Europe. Any sane person would say he would never do that. But Putin is simply unpredictable, like Trump.

@MrStonkss I may be repeating myself, but:
The American president is not a Roman emperor, he will not be able to stop the Ukraine aid on his own, btw he has since resigned from the course and has promised aid

@KonradM Should Putin attack a NATO country and the USA fail to fulfill its duty to provide assistance, this would be the kick-off for the European states to arm themselves with nuclear weapons. Of course, Germany would probably be the only consolation country that would continue to rely on diplomacy with Putin.

@Europoor Well, as far as I've heard, only two parties are currently of the opinion that we have to negotiate with Putin, etc. But maybe we'll all be smarter from Wednesday...

@KonradM Scholz is also a Putin-understander. Germany is not fulfilling its European leadership role in any way. France and the UK have been supplying Scalp and Storm Shadow for a long time. No Taurus have been delivered. Germany has not rearmed either.

@KonradM Yes, you're right. Personally, I never thought he would really invade Ukraine. I thought he was just rattling his sabres. You can never trust people like that. Terrible...

@Europoor Germany is then placed under Hungarian administration.

Strabag and RBI - it looks to me as if they want to sit this out and then shout "Tada! We have always believed in you and are now here to help you" - shouting (this is just my opinion).

I am really ruthless when it comes to shares, but RBI got me to the point where I once sold a share for ethnic reasons!!!
