iShares Bitcoin ETP

$IB1T (-3,33%)

Attention crypto fans: The cheapest Bitcoin ETP is here

Just in time for the crypto consolidation comes the cheapest tradable Bitcoin-ETP. There is even another innovative crypto product.

Many investors are reluctant to invest in cryptocurrencies themselves with a third-party provider. We recently reported on alternatives, wie du in Bitcoin investieren kannst, ohne ihn direkt kaufen zu müssen. Especially as crypto ETPs have always been relatively expensive - 1.5 or 2.0 percent running costs quickly add up. Detours are no longer absolutely necessary, because with the new iShares Bitcoin ETP (WKN: A4A59K) there is a low-cost alternative that you can invest in via your existing Depotwith your direct bank or neobroker. At 0.15 percent, the new ETP has around a tenth of the total expense ratio (TER) of competing products. However, the ongoing charges will rise to 0.25 percent from January 1, 2026, which is still within the range of broadly diversified ETFs.

@DonkeyInvestor New ETP from iShares for Bitcoin. Perhaps interesting for those who don't want to go through the whole process of proving their wallet on the Teansger.

@six next investment for you?

@DonkeyInvestor Maybe 🤷🏻‍♂️
I'm still thinking about adding some gold and bitcoin again.
But I don't really want to use any other brokers or exchanges apart from ING.

@six Gold is available from ING via a savings plan $WGLD. Bitcoin ETP $FBTC unfortunately not, only via direct purchase. That's why SC comes into play for me here, as $FBTC also works via a savings plan and iShares will soon do the same. However, the purchase fee of €0.99 is acceptable. In general, I would also like to have everything at ING 😬

@ShrimpTheGimp Yes, I know. However, you have a TER (which you don't have with Euwax2). There are also some negative reports on Widomtree and the gold ETCs.
Here, for example:

On r/Finazen, too, everyone tends to recommend one of the German providers (Xetra Gold or Euwax Gold 2)

I definitely don't want to go to SC.
For example, I've been waiting 7 weeks for my money to be paid out. It was deducted by direct debit to SC and since you can theoretically reverse the debit for 8 weeks, they block the payout for that long.
In other words: I've had enough of the cheap brokers, before that I always buy from ING for a fee or don't make certain investments at all.

Wann 2xBTC ETP?

Thanks for the article. I only have 15% BTC in my portfolio via an ETP $FBTC, so the alternative from iShares is just right. I'm now building up a new position and leaving the other one as it is. That way I can at least minimize my issuer risk 😬. Crypto exchange is out of the question for me personally :)
