Big bang: Mutares CIO Johannes Lauman moves to the top of MBB - and they are now also making... Bitcoin?!

attachment

There are developments that have been on the horizon for a long time, and there are others that we didn't see coming. Johannes Laumann, Chief Investment Officer at restructuring expert Mutares $MUX (+1,26%)is moving to the position of CEO at the medium-sized investment holding company MBB $MBB (+2,36%) taking over from Constantin Mang, who is leaving the company on June 30.

Laumann is considered to be enterprising and very experienced in tracking down lucrative opportunities. And MBB's bulging war chest with net liquidity of over €280 million is just what he needs - not only for a higher number of mergers and acquisitions, but also for the announced "alternative investments".

MBB has held a firm position in gold with great success for decades and will also invest in Bitcoin in the future.

However, it has since emerged that this was an April Fool's joke, so happy investing....

And what does this mean for Mutares?

@Novius It is too early to say, but I found Laumann to be Mutares' best man and he will not be easy to replace.

What a pity, what a pity. I might even sell. I was aware of the key-man risk, but after the last interviews with the new international offices I thought that Mr. Lauman would stay with Mutares. Do you know anything about his successor?

@TaxesAreTheft no, nothing known yet 🤷‍♂️

I'm thinking about going into MBB.

@Tenbagger2024 a great company in the M&A sector, but has already had a really mega run in the last 12 months...I also had it on my watchlist, but in my opinion it has already run away from me...

...that's why I'm sticking with the little brother from Munich and continue to trust Laumann.

@SAUgut777
I might write a post in the next few days.
MBB's valuation just includes Vorwerk, which means the other companies are almost free. I have been watching Vorwerk for a long time, and it has run away from me. That's why I want to get into MBB, which has an even more favorable valuation. Vorwerk is having a great run thanks to the energy turnaround. That's why I think MBB's figures will be good in November. And I would like to get in before the figures.
