UnitedHealth Makes an Impressive Comeback

attachment

The U.S. healthcare giant released its quarterly results today and significantly exceeded expectations.

Q2 2026 Highlights:

• Revenue: $112.0 billion

• Adjusted EPS: $6.38

• Operating income: $8.0 billion

• Medical Cost Ratio: 86.7% (prior year: 89.4%)

• Full-year forecast raised to $19.50–$20.00 earnings per share

Particularly positive: Healthcare costs were kept under control much better than the market had expected. At the same time, the key Optum division is once again performing very strongly and increased its operating income to approximately $4 billion.

A brief overview of the company:

With over 48 million insured members, UnitedHealth is the largest health insurer in the U.S. The company essentially consists of two pillars:

UnitedHealthcare

The traditional insurance business for individuals, businesses, and government health programs.

Optum

Healthcare services, pharmacy management, data analytics, and AI solutions for the healthcare sector. This division is considered one of the group’s most important growth drivers.

Following the challenges of recent years, it is becoming increasingly clear that the measures implemented are having an effect. The upward revision of the forecast and the strong improvement in margins suggest that UnitedHealth is back on track to regain its former strength.

For long-term investors, $UNH (-1,66%) one of the most exciting quality stocks in the healthcare sector—with solid growth, a strong market position, and a dividend that has been rising for years.

I'm celebrating UnitedHealth's comeback too, but am I the only one who thinks these AI flyers are 🤮?

@DividendenAlpaka In what way is $UNH an AI flyer?

I'm sure he means Creative—that they use AI to generate the graphics. I'm sick of it, too; everything looks the same.

@DividendenAlpaka I totally agree with you—it's absolute garbage. At least this way you can tell who takes more than 30 seconds to write a post—and who doesn't.

@CMustermann Don't you guys have any hobbies? I'd be too lazy to write that kind of bullshit. I've been looking at your posts… Let's just drop it—I actually enjoy working with AI 😂😂😂😂😂

@DividendenAlpaka So, I don't know what these idiots are always doing, especially in my posts. I just couldn't resist taking a look at your posts—the ones where you're the biggest loudmouths here. Honestly, I get more excitement just taking a dump, guys, so I totally get why you're so annoyed by my posts. Go check out your profiles and spruce them up a bit—I’ve already handed out a few trophies to each of you for your absolutely top-notch, thoroughly researched insider info straight from the companies. 😂

@KoenigsRasse There were plenty of ways you could have responded, but you chose to resort to childish ranting and a snarky “But you yourself…”

As I mentioned in another comment, feel free to keep posting AI slop—by the way, I never said anything about “added value” either.

Well, I like it. It gives you a few key figures at a glance. But of course, it's a matter of taste.

@KoenigsRasse Could it be that you sometimes take criticism a little too personally? 😅
My comment wasn’t directed at you personally at all. It was actually aimed at those boring AI-generated flyers that we’ve been seeing everywhere lately. First, the local kebab guy started using them to advertise his weekend kebab specials, then the law firm in my neighborhood with a poster showing a perfect family on the beach—and the mom with six fingers—and now you even see GetQuin using them to summarize quarterly earnings. It’s really 🤮😂

@CMustermann To be honest, I don't quite get comments like that. Your reaction shows just how closely you're following my profile and my posts.

Of course, everyone has different tastes, and that’s totally fine. What I don’t understand, though, is why someone would specifically look for that famous fly in the ointment in a post just to leave a negative comment?

I sometimes imagine this happening in real life: Do you walk up to strangers on the street and tell them, without being asked, that you don’t like their clothes or that you think their style is bad? Probably not.

You don’t have to like everything. But you can also just move on if a post doesn’t suit your taste.
