The situation at Eon...

How do you assess the situation at $EOAN (-0,37%) company?

Since October, the share price has fallen by a good 20%, the company recently issued bonds worth almost €2 billion and is being downgraded by rating agencies.

Even though I am still 7% up in my own position and only invest for the very long term, the development worries me somewhat and reinforces my opinion that it really only belongs in a pensioner's portfolio. But should I sell now? What do you think?

The current fall in the share price is due to the BGH ruling https://www.handelsblatt.com/dpa/netzbetreiber-scheitern-vor-bgh-mit-rendite-beschwerde-eon-enttaeuscht/30137286.html) Basically, I am very confident about future developments and will hold on to my x440 shares.

@Aktien365 I am currently still of the opinion that I have a good long-term secure position here halten👍🏼 Thank you

If you look at the share price since 2017, you can already see a general improvement. It doesn't look good at the moment, but I think that if you generally think the company is a good one and you don't think they are making bad economic decisions, it may be worth holding the shares in the long term.

@asset_guru_1373 However, if you feel uncomfortable with the company's decisions and developments, you should sell the share even if you make a profit on the sale compared to the purchase price

@asset_guru_1373 Thanks for your comment:)
Yes, that's right, in the very long term over more than 5-10 years the trend will probably always be right, at least you're not taking a big risk with Eon. But I will still think about selling and shifting into something with more growth, (dividend) growth stocks fit better in the portfolio anyway.
Let's see when and, above all, into what 🤔😁
