This follow-up order is a direct vote of confidence from De Lijn and reflects BYD's proven operational performance $1211 (-3,34%) on Belgian routes.
The confirmed model for this delivery is the B12.b, equipped with BYD's innovative CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) blade battery. This design optimizes the interior space and allows for a full low-floor design, ensuring easy access and a comfortable passenger experience.
De Lijn is aiming to switch to a fully electric bus fleet by 2035. The first batch of BYD buses entered service in Antwerp in June 2024 and received positive feedback from both passengers and operators for their quiet, efficient and reliable operation - a foundation that has directly enabled this extended partnership.
