@Koenigmidas may unfortunately be the case, and sadly it is, but posts like this always make me very thoughtful 😔. If you can't even talk openly about the subject with the person you're supposed to be most familiar with or with friends 🤷‍♂️ I feel the same way, however, when something comes up in the news that the 🍊 has caused the stock market to crash, my wife asks me if we're poor now and she has to work more 🙈. When I tell her that she could do more with her slightly over six-figure fortune than let it rot away in a savings account at Deutsche Bank for 0.25%, she counters that she has just invested 30,000 at 1.4% for one year. The rest should be freely available, because you don't know what will happen. It's impossible to open a call money account anywhere with special offers at 3%, it's all dubious. And then I have to tell my circle of friends that I have a 7-figure fortune and that my income allows me to stop working... Thank God they all believe that I can somehow make ends meet with my unemployment benefit and rental income 😂. Here you can come out and meet fellow capitalists and at least often get more encouragement than in your immediate social environment

@Dividendenopi My wife is up to date, knows what's going on and stays calm during crashes - we've been doing it long enough now.

However, she is similar to OP's wife and says that she doesn't really care at the moment because we don't touch it anyway and therefore don't care about the fluctuations and developments. She is also not very interested in the markets because she doesn't think all the current turbulence will matter in the long term anyway.

That's actually a much healthier attitude than looking at her portfolio every day like I do :D

The many mini-positions of less than 3000 euros in equity come from so-called baskets at Trading 212, where the community puts together ETFs, so to speak. So not every position has been selected individually.

@SathosiRuffy Investment in xrp was approx. 6000 EU. Simply because a lot of people were talking about it.

I've been buying gold from time to time since my civilian days because I thought it was nice to have something like that in my hand. It has simply accumulated over the last 18 years. But my last purchase was when 100 grams still cost around 5000 EU.

Overall, I have only bought a few more in the last 1-2 years

I read in some commentary a long time ago that the actual value of gold does not change. The currency will only become worth less. If you look at how much money is printed every year, you can assume that in 10-20 years you won't be able to buy anything for a dollar if things continue as they are.

The SPX/gold chart speaks volumes. I would not sell either, although the gold share is of course against all doctrine. But more and more experts are now recommending 40÷.
