Since there has been a lot of talk about individual space stocks like Rocket Lab recently, I wanted to throw a broader alternative into the room: the VanEck Space Innovators UCITS ETF (IE000YU9K6K2).
I recently invested in this fund because I am convinced of the long-term potential of the space sector. It's an exciting field for me because it's not just about individual rocket manufacturers, but about the entire ecosystem behind them - from satellites to communications and infrastructure to defense-related technologies.
Instead of focusing on just one individual stock, I find the ETF quite interesting as a broader thematic play. Of course, it is not a defensive basic investment, but rather a volatile addition with a clear sector bet. But that's exactly what makes it exciting for me in the long term.
I'm curious to see if anyone else here plays the space theme via ETFs rather than just individual stocks.
