S&P500 investment too late ?

Do you think it makes sense to invest heavily in the S&P500 now?

Time in the market Beats timing in the market. Buy in tranches

@BeachPlease? He will never find the perfect timing, therefore not all at once but as I said, in installments...

@ProTox You are contradicting yourself. Buying in tranches is also market timing...

@Pezi What is timing about it? You keep buying more, better than buying everything at once.

@Pezi He thinks differently, timing doesn't matter to him because he simply buys at fixed intervals using savings plans. Such people also buy in falling prices to lower their buy-in 😆
Nobody can say whether it is too late or too early. The fact is that a good 20% of the ATH. Thirds of your investment...

Funny question... What is your investment horizon? Buy and hold, position trading, swing trading, day trading? Stocks or derivatives? Guess B&H and US ETFs ;) Then wait a few more months :) Reason: There will of course be another correction after buying high since April 7 + the dollar will depreciate, you would be buying just before the high :P Ergo: Let the SP500 cool down and wait for the dollar to depreciate. Good luck!
@BeachPlease do you hold a crystal ball? Nobody knows what will happen.

@asset_guru_2222 Speak German, ... Yep, I have a crystal ball :) It's called an earnings report, RSI and moving averages ;)

@BeachPlease Thank you for your reply 🤝🏼 Yes, buy and hold is the strategy, but then also really long-term. We are talking here about an investment of only "3000€". The idea was just to take advantage of the bear market before prices rise to their normal high again, but as you said, it may of course be that things are only really going down now 😁

Purely with a savings plan - split your available assets that you want to put into the S&P500 over 12 months and sit back. Maybe it will go up in the meantime, maybe it will go down.

Remember: Nobody here has a crystal ball - what the market (to put it mildly: the community) knows is priced in. No more, no less.
