Tech weighting

$VWRL (+0,33%) Servus

The tech share here on Getquin is given as 34.23%. Other sources such as Vanguard , speak of 31% , justetf speaks of around 26.68% tech share. What is correct and why these differences? If Getquin is calculating with incorrect values, this is of little use to me for diversification. Does anyone know? lg Ghosty

You also have to keep in mind that not all tech is the same when different classification systems are used.

ICB, GICS, TRBC, RBICS etc. are all different standards that represent the same ETF differently, because there is not ONE standard for classification that everyone uses.

In other words, even if the fundamental securities in the ETF match the issuer, the allocation does not have to match the issuer.

That's why you should look for a "single source of truth" that classifies everything according to uniform systems.
If Amundi uses ICB, iShares GICS and Vangurd TRBC on its own website, then you have three different data standards to compare.

@Staatsmann Oh, thanks for the explanation.

Getquin x-ray data is often not up-to-date

Please bear in mind that the sector weighting of a marketcap etf changes with every price set. A daily updated evaluation is unrealistic.

@gloinvest My idea would be to rebalance my portfolio once a year in the event of major deviations in sectors and regions

Do you know how much delay to expect? Days, weeks, months?

Or can Getquin not be used for annual rebalancing of individual ETFs by region, sector, etc.?
