I always ask myself, do people abroad love Germany, or is it always just the Germans who glorify foreign countries so much?
@Oktoberfest I would say your country is much more popular than you would like 🤣

@Oktoberfest The majority of investors in DAX companies come from abroad. EY conducted a study which showed that around 52% of shares in DAX companies are held by foreign investors.

@Musikerie How do you know what is dear to me? I would be happy if people abroad saw Germany the way Germans see other countries.

@ETFs_sind_dummes_Geld Well, that's also because we Germans were brought up differently. The share culture is slowly taking off, of course only until the next major sell-off

@Oktoberfest i love Germany, especially the 1933-45 period

@Hendan What exactly do you love about time? I live now and not in the past 🙄

@Oktoberfest I have been to many corners of the world and have always been warmly welcomed and fed.

That rarely happens in Germany.... Especially if you're not from here.

So I would say we have a better international reputation than we deserve.... But people still like to come by.

I don't know what you mean by glorifying, but it's nice along the equator. Also often less expensive and much warmer.... With more palm trees and fewer people (mostly) and there are animals too...

Give it a try...

@Fetzen I've also had a good trip, especially when a 70 year old veteran wanted to carry my bags to the car and called me "sir", they are just so much nicer.

So if you like showmanship, you're welcome. I love the direct manner.

@Oktoberfest Which country do I have to travel to for a veteran to bring me a bag to my car? Sounds very nice. Did he smoke with you or just give it to you?

@Fetzen A bit arrogant, isn't it? At least for someone who thinks he has already been to many corners of the world. But well, if you're fed, you hardly buy anything.
