@GoDividend In fact, this is exactly the area where Musk hangs out yes haha

@GoDividend yes almost everything for the Tesla except sheet metal, plastic and tires haha

Let's see what the research brings up

@SharkAce will you pass on your research to us?

@GoDividend maybe it's worth a post :D I've already put the fields of activity in the comments.

The page also provides a rough analysis. Unfortunately a few months old

@GoDividend is a globally active industrial group. Similar to 3M. I have professional dealings with them. I'm surprised that people don't know them, but I don't know everything either.
They really do a lot.

Every home builder knows them. They also make thermostats and such fun. But they are ruled out for me because of the weapons technology division.

@InvestmentPapa So building materials / construction aids (as you like) and weapon tech too? What don't they do then haha

Thank you :D
immagine del profilo
@InvestmentPapa that's why it rang my bell

@SharkAce You, if you take a closer look, these things are not so far apart. They are efficiencies that work together... just like Teflon coating in pans is sold as NASA technology. Here, the sensors from the thermostats are installed in the steering heads of the rockets... or the other way around. 😜 Well, yes. In any case, they are a technological conglomerate. Heaters, thermostats and rocket control. Who doesn't know it? 😅

@InvestmentPapa the classic who doesn't know it. WMF has also recently started selling AK47s 😂

But it sounds really interesting

Apart from these "funny" things, I don't find the sales trend particularly exciting. In the last two years, there has been a decline. Probably because you can't fight Covid with rockets? Speculative, and it's getting ridiculous again. It's not supposed to be... sorry, so back to seriousness: all in all, I don't like the figures from the recent past. So even without looking at the weapons division, the company doesn't make it onto my watch list. 🧐

@InvestmentPapa as a conglomerate you have to deal with heavyweights everywhere... you first have to assert yourself against MTU, 3M, Alphabet etc.

Jim Cramer also has Honeywell on his watch list:

@Healthy Is he better known for hitting the bull's eye or is he more of an American Dirk Müller?
immagine del profilo
I think Jim Cramer does a good job, otherwise he wouldn't be on CNBC...
His show is pretty notorious there
1
immagine del profilo
@Healthy I'm not familiar with the subject, hence the question :D

Thank you 👍🏼

As you know, my detailed and scientific TA has forecast a bullish price trend. Nobrainer actually

@Lorena another nobrainer 😂 Nobrainer + gift money 😵‍💫

Among other things, they manufacture oversized Tictacs/Minions. They stand at level crossings with full barriers and check that no vehicle is trapped between the barriers when they close. So that's how I know them...

But interesting what they do

I work in waste management and we buy a lot of work clothing from them, such as protective gloves
1
immagine del profilo
@Joshua94 if you buy a lot of them, at least the quality is right :D

I know them from my job. They offer ventilation systems for buildings, among other things. For example, vents for bathrooms.

@nextRockefeller they really are everywhere...

For those who are interested:

"What does Honeywell earn its money with?

Honeywell is active in the aerospace, building technology, performance materials and corporate security divisions shown above. In the aerospace sector, aircraft manufacturers are supplied with components such as engines. Honeywell also earns money by servicing the components it supplies. Its competitors are alternative investments such as United Technologies, the German MTU Aero Engines and Safran.

In building technology, for example, the focus is on temperature regulation or security systems. A direct competitor in this segment is Siemens.

Performance Materials is a melting pot for different activities. On the one hand, specialty chemicals such as lubricants are produced (Fuchs Petrolub sends its regards), on the other hand, automation and consulting for a wide range of industries also fall into this segment. Here, Honeywell competes with companies such as BASF or Emerson Electric.

Safety and productivity also includes not only protective clothing but also leisure clothing and occupational safety through software-based solutions (alarm systems) through to automation technology, which also plays a role in Performance Materials. Here Honeywell has to compete with big names such as 3M.

In view of the wide range of activities, including overlaps, and the strong competition, it is not surprising that conglomerates such as Honeywell, Siemens or 3M are constantly reorganizing themselves in order to remain as efficient as possible. You can see that Honeywell does this quite well from its profitability, which extends across all segments in the form of a high operating margin:..."
