That's a really great portfolio—personally, I'd still be missing Main Street Capital or Realty Income from it.

@TheTomatoInvestor Main Street Capital would actually be a nice addition. In principle, Reality Income ( $O ) would be too—though I already have Cibus ( $CIBUS ) in my portfolio as the European equivalent.

@NichtRelevant Doesn't a REIT in a portfolio conflict with traditional real estate investments?

@MozartsGeist That’s true—actually, since I already own regular real estate, I don’t really need any more in the form of REITs. But it’s just a small position, and CIBUS consists of commercial real estate in Northern Europe rather than residential real estate in Germany. Still, the objection is valid, of course.

To be honest, I’d like to build up a small portfolio of “real” apartments in the Czech Republic sometime in the distant future—two of our existing units are already there. But first, I need to do more research to better understand how the market works and the tax implications. Right now, I don’t have the mental bandwidth for that, since we’ve taken on two major projects in the wild east of Leipzig—I need to tackle those one by one first. 😅

@NichtRelevant This speaks to a genuine passion for delving deeply into the real estate industry—and, not least, for investing directly in it. 😊

@MozartsGeist I like that—it's something you can actually touch. It's always nice when a renovated apartment is finished. 🙂
