Fewer and fewer shipping companies are sailing through the Suez Canal. The reason for this is the attacks by the Huthi rebels. The price of oil and freight rates are already rising.

Is this fueling inflation again? The exploding freight rates were one of the main reasons for inflation. Can the shipping companies repeat their record year 2022?

The Americans should just send a few drones there and neutralize these terrorists, I don't think that will be a problem for long. Anyone who messes with the economy is messing with a $900 billion military budget, a few rebels won't itch for long

@Leonberger "officially" do not support the Iranians at all... 🤓 But of course I see your point. The Americans will have to make sure that they respect the maritime borders of the neighboring states and coordinate their actions.

Let's first clarify who would benefit from this. 😊 Rebels are controlled groups, option 1. The main winners are the UK and the US who sell oil to Europe and the top losers are Saudi and OPEC countries. I think it is a result of the last move of OPEC and Saudi Arabia to Russia. in my opinion oil prices in Europe could rise as UK and US become the only oil suppliers. option2. Russia - which is less likely. perhaps to push Europe to lift sanctions.

@Leonberger It is claimed by the USA, but I really don't believe it. Saudi Arabia and Iran are in the process of rebuilding good relations. They are now playing together. Iran is also a member of OPEC. Why would Iran attack OPEC's interests? it's too complicated.
