I've been following CapsoVision since its IPO, and the last few months have been anything but boring.
What has happened since then?
✅ The company has completed a $14 million capital increase . While this led to some dilution in the short term, it also secured funding for sales, marketing, and further development of the technology.
✅ The Q1 2026 results showed that while CapsoVision is not yet profitable, management continues to invest consistently in growth and the AI-powered endoscopy platform.
✅ For me, the most important driver of the stock price remains the FDA 510(k) clearance of the AI-Assisted Reading Module for CapsoCam Plus. The company is already preparing for commercialization following approval. However, no final decision has been announced to date.
My assessment:
CapsoVision is currently not a value investment, but rather a classic high-risk/high-reward medtech story.
The coming months are likely to be decisive:
📌 FDA decision on the AI module
📌 Commercialization following a potential approval
📌 Revenue growth and acceptance among doctors
I’m staying invested and view the current phase as a test of patience. If the FDA gives the green light and the company successfully markets the technology, 2026 could be a very exciting year. At the same time, the risk remains high if approvals are further delayed or growth falls short of expectations.
