That it has no leverage? That you can leave it for 10 years?
In the stock market, long simply defines the positioning in relation to the market; I am betting on rising prices. We both know that a 3x Daily is a trading instrument and not a bond certificate because of its path dependency. But at the end of the day, it is and remains a long certificate. Just because the holding period for leveraged products is usually shorter doesn't change the direction of the bet.
