No one will tell you what to do here, except perhaps that you should decide for yourself.

Why don't you tell us what your thoughts are behind the possible purchase? We might be able to contribute something useful to that.

@Epi I am an engineer specializing in mining. I worked in BHP for 10 years and know a lot about metal deposits. The new projects from $NEM seemed pretty good to me. Hence the considerations.

@Epi wrong again, I'll tell you:
HEY @gduring if you are not convinced by a company SELL it, SELL all other stocks too.
Buy $SPYI, put a savings plan on it, then give yourself a new randomly generated 40-digit password with your broker and delete it.

2 years before you retire, have a new password sent to you.

The rest of you would do well to do the same.

Who would have thought he was referring to private investors. 🤣

@gduring Well, now you've said something more specific about yourself, but not yet about your thoughts on NEM. I am somewhat skeptical about gold mines because of the high dependence on energy prices and environmental regulations. In addition, the industry is now suffering from a blatant shortage of skilled workers. How is NEM tackling these problems?

@EpiI wanted to tell you that most large mines have their own power plants and are therefore more dependent on commodity prices.

@gduring What kind of power plants are these? Coal, oil and gas are also raw materials that can quickly become more expensive. In any case, high energy prices squeeze the margins of mining companies.

@PowerWordChill What is wrong? That no one will tell John what to do? You told him what to do. So you proved me wrong. Chapeau!

@gduring Well, how does NEM tackle the other problems? AISC, scarcity of resources, skilled workers?
