$NUKL (-1,35%) Today I have expanded my position in this particular ETF. And will also currently put my focus on it.

According to Vaneck, the ETF invests in the following areas:

  • Access to leading uranium mining companies and nuclear technology companies.
  • Investing in reliable nuclear power as a fundamental energy source
  • Supporting the decarbonization of the global power grid
  • Diversification across at least 25 companies

My personal view on the future of this ETF:

  • Increase of uranium needed by at least 25% ( more than 100 new reactors worldwide)
  • Elements needed for initial construction will increase
  • Revisions, maintenance and periodic inspections will increase
  • Energy companies from France, Poland, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands profit from nuclear phase-out in Germany

As I work in nuclear energy myself, I see this ETF very positive for the future.

No investment advice or anything like that.

How do you see this ETF?

"Energy companies from France, Poland, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands benefit from the nuclear phase-out in Germany" is a milkmaid's calculation: German energy companies suffer in return from the nuclear phase-out in Germany. Sector ETFs would be neither fish nor fowl for me. If you bet on the sector, then take one or three stocks. That way, even the bad ones pull you back down. If you want to diversify, take an index ETF. Betting, yes, but not really. Diversify, yes, but not really. That and in terms of TER, I would stay away from it.

Very interesting ETF but has too little volume for my taste. Therefore, there is a risk that it will be discontinued :)

Yes, because otherwise I always have order fees. I bet 60% on ETFs and 40% on stocks. In my stock portfolio I am currently covering Petrobras, Walmart and Itochu. My ETFs are 5 different ones a NASDAQ 100, a world ETF, another world ETF (for my nephew), the nuclear ETF and an energy ETF. Consumer staples like Pepsi, Coke, etc. Are currently not interesting to me. P&G maybe.
