1. Beyond Meat is laying off 19% of its workforce
Beyond Meat plans to cut 19% of its workforce—approximately 200 employees—as the company announced in a regulatory filing on Friday. The company also announced that several executives will be leaving the company. The current layoffs follow an initial round of layoffs in August. The cuts are expected to be completed by the end of the year and are aimed at achieving positive cash flow in the second half of 2023.

2. Nikola Founder Trevor Milton Found Guilty
Trevor Milton, the founder and former CEO of electric truck manufacturer Nikola, was found guilty on Friday in federal court on three of four counts of fraud for making false statements to inflate the value of Nikola stock. Sentencing is scheduled for January 27.
