Technically, oil behaviour doesn't depend on the car. But just for our understanding, are we talking a tuned 3.7 flat-six Porsche 911, or a 12 year old Kia Picanto? If the first, maybe. If the second, nobody and no engine cares.

@Baklapverkoper i do not know the Kia engine. But the Pure Tech engine from Stellantis (Citroen, Opel, Renault....) has a wet belt. Even in the small cars like C1 or C3 you schuld always use the right oil. The wrong oil will kill your rubber belt and kill your engine. Same problem with the Ford eco boost engines.
