𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 🌍:

Germany activated the second phase of its three-stage emergency gas program this Thursday, moving a step closer to allocating gas supplies to industrial groups - a move that will deal a drastic blow to the industrial sector, the heart of the German economy. "Gas is in short supply in Germany from now on," Robert Habeck told a press conference. The energy crisis in Europe escalated this month when Russia reduced gas supplies to EU countries. Russian gas company Gazprom last week cut gas supplies through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany by 60% and withheld many turbines. ENI (an Italian energy company) said Gazprom had cut its supplies by 15%.

𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮🌎:

Already last month, Netflix had to cut 150 jobs due to weakening revenues. The main reason for the weak revenues is the current high inflation, which already reached a value of 8.6% in the USA in May. Other reasons include the economic slowdown and the extremely strong competition from Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV. Netflix wants to lay off about 4% of its employees to minimize costs, which corresponds to about 300 employees.

BlockFi will receive a $250 million revolving credit line from FTX, Bankman-cryptocurrency Fried's exchange as well as the crypto brokerage Voyager Digital who will receive a $500 million in funding but by the quantitative trading company Alameda which is also owned by Bankman-Fried. Considering the current existential crises in the crypto market, Sam Bankman-Fried is something of a savior.
