What kind of return is that? Cost price -200€? 😉

@InvestmentPapa Tencent paid a special dividend in the form of the share😅 That's why I had an equity of one euro👀
So unfortunately not my own fault 😂

@DasistderWeg All clear. Thank you. I haven't had such a case yet, but I would always set the equity of such a dividend at the EX-date price of the dividend. This may reflect the performance better. Because the dividend is not free. But of course it's a matter of taste, especially because such a yield naturally looks strong. 👍

@InvestmentPapa Yes, that's true😅 but I wanted to enter it exactly as it stands with TR. Tencent does this all the time, but since they only make up 1.5% of the portfolio, the stock dividends are always so low anyway that they fly out the next day :)

@InvestmentPapa For tax purposes, it would also be correct to book the shares at the value they have at the time of booking.

A purchase price of €0 (i.e. as a gift) would be incorrect for tax purposes.
@DasistderWeg
TR has been making mistakes with the display for a long time :)
From a mathematical point of view, you receive a taxable dividend, but this does not go into your account, but is invested directly in shares at the corresponding price.
Accordingly, the equity is also to be used as the corresponding price for tracking. :)

@DasistderWeg Oh, when was the special dividend? I've had Tencent in my portfolio for quite a long time, but haven't received anything. Is the "holding period of 1 day" indication correct?

@Dr27589 The dividend was on 7.1, I don't know when you had to hold it 😅 I've been holding it for almost exactly a year:)
