Plutus / Pluton

Since there was no major contribution to Plutus / Pluton I wanted to share my experiences. If you start Google, you will of course find enough posts in which you are crapped on with reflinks and which are all totally enthusiastic.

tl;dr: Probably sometime similar end as the Crypto dot com (CDC) card, but until then you can use halfway risk-free the card in the prime rate.

Perhaps some have already forgotten or suppressed it, CDC has, in May, the rewards for the Visa card significantly cut. Rather by chance I ordered the Plutus Card a few weeks before, I never had the CDC card myself. After a little more than 2 weeks I received the Plutus Card. Currently, the waiting times are supposed to be much longer, due to all the new applications of the CDC card changers.

The card itself is nothing special. Visa Debit plastic with NFC and standard card quality. But the card as a physical object is also of little interest. What is interesting are the bonuses that can be earned when using the card. Namely 3% cashback as well as at least one free "perk" worth about 10€.

In the free tariff the 3% is capped at 250€ turnover. The Perk can be selected from various providers. There is a wide selection, from Lidl and Aldi to Uber, Netflix and Spotify. In the end, however, you get with almost every provider quasi a 10€ creditso it doesn't take much. Netflix and Apple One are the exceptions at €11 and €14.95, respectively. At least Netflix I personally found but as a waste, because you can take out a Netflix subscription abroad significantly below the German prices.

To get more than one Perk or to lift the 250€ limit or to raise the 3% up to 8% there is an easy way to shoot money into the system. Either you get a subscription for 4,99€ / 14,99€ or you buy the PLU token and leave it in the staking. If you do the math here, you'll see that even with the subscriptions on paper, it's a win-win situation. Pay 4,99€ and get 2 x 10€ back as Perk. Can that work permanently? Everyone can make up their own mind.

Apart from that, it should be mentioned that Plutus officially supports Curve, which means that you can run your transactions via Curve and then transfer them to Plutus quite accurately. Curve is also available as a perk, so you could also have the middle subscription subsidized via a perk.

How does the whole thing work now, if you want to participate? You go through the usual procedure with uploading photo ID. I always use a driver's license for this, but it doesn't always work. Video chat fidgeting was not necessary here as far as I remember. Afterwards 20 € have to be deposited on the clearing account of your card. (These are later available for the card). Welcome to the Ponzisheme.

Eventually you will get the card in the mail (there is no virtual one) and then you can get started too. Deposit the card with Curve or use it directly and then get 3% cashback in PLU with each payment. The PLU are blocked for 45 days, then you can book them into the clearing account or the card. It is also important to know that 15ct will be deducted for uncovered bookings. So if you buy 30€ but only have card balance 25€ then it doesn't work with a debit card of course, but then costs 15ct. I can confirm that in rare cases it happens unjustified. This Declined POS charge can be refunded via the support in PLU. On weekends or holidays, you can not book from the clearing account to the card. In addition, you cannot transfer money back from the card to the settlement account, if the money is on the card you have to spend it. From the clearing account you can transfer away, but I have not used so far. Just don't put more on the account than you need. With Revolut, for example, this is done very quickly.

The card differs from the CDC card in some respects, for example, you can keep the token in your own wallet when staking, which will be very useful if the token is then worthless. But honestly these are all details that don't interest a dick (can you write that here? Luckily no one reads that far anyway). Therefore I link below blandly the helpdesk articles [1], which eh no one reads, I mean 8% with only 2000 PLU!!!!

The main unanswered questions should now be, why does the PLU token actually have a value ... uh ... look back there the Easter bunny! Should you pawn your house or your firstborn for it? Of course both.

My current conclusionI'm satisfied with the card so far and as long as it runs, I'll take whatever comes off.

Oh yes because everyone does so: This text is not investment advice. No tax recommendations or advice. All information without guarantee. Guns do not exist either.

Oh, just in case it hasn't come through yet, I don't recommend putting money into this. But you do you.

Pecker! You know why! Otherwise: He's back. First post in how many centuries? 😍😍😍 For that alone, a @ccf. And of course because I like your view on snowball systems.

It is obvious that the system will break down at some point, but you can use the card for one purchase/month at Aldi/Lidl, since you would have to pay for these purchases anyway, but at least you get something back. In addition, the price of $PLU is expected to go down in the long run, since Plutus still holds 90% of the supply. Small tip: Since the waiting times for the cards still last until sometime in October, you can write to support a few days after you ordered the card to close the account, they will then offer you 1.5 PLU and 1 month of premium (3 perks for a month) if you keep the card.
