I bought Caterpillar today, a solid quality company for me. It has been convincing for decades with strong share price growth and constant dividend increases (for 30 years!). Of course, with a P/E ratio of over 15, the share is not exactly a bargain at the moment, but the daily volatility allowed me to get in just below the 200-day line, a rare occurrence with Caterpillar. In the long term, I still see a lot of potential, especially when you consider future projects such as the reconstruction in Ukraine. The company is well positioned to benefit from global developments.
