Booking Holdings is a share that only ever seems to go in one direction and has been on my watchlist for (too) long. Hardly surprising given its constant long-term growth, strong market position and global presence. However, the stock has already done quite well this year, but should definitely be added to the portfolio in one way or another at a value of approx. 2.5k

into the portfolio.

Would you a) invest a large sum at the moment, b) build it up over six months via a savings plan or c) leave it on the watchlist until the market cools down a bit and then use it as a one-off investment?

I'm leaning towards c), but that hasn't worked so far and unfortunately there was no money available to invest at the beginning of August 😅

Does anyone else have any exciting alternatives to Booking?

Is just relatively far away from the 200-day line.

Regardless of the fundamentals. Booking is overbought in the 4h, daily and weekly. This does not necessarily mean that the share will correct immediately, but in my opinion it will in the medium term. I would continue to hold shares that look like this, but would not buy more or buy new ones. But that's just my humble opinion.

Let the savings plan run if it continues to rise and if not you can at least buy more cheaply 😊👍

Atm the broad market is quite expensive, so a correction would also pull Booking down. When and whether this will happen is another question.
Viewed in isolation, however, I find Booking neither expensive nor overvalued.
From that point of view, you could possibly enter the market in stages, perhaps with a higher savings plan amount. Or simply get a foot in the door, which is of course easy to say when the optical price is already €4500 😂

Personally, I have been keeping an eye on the company for some time, but I am waiting for the share price to fall as I think it is currently somewhat overvalued. In any case, the company's fundamentals are excellent and it has also shown great class in difficult market situations (e.g. coronavirus).
