In the Geschäftsfeld Energy Networks, adjusted EBITDA in the first nine months was almost on a par with the previous year at just under EUR 4.8 billion (9M 2023*: EUR 4.8 billion). Temporary effects, particularly with regard to redispatch costs in Germany, had a significant positive impact on earnings in the same period of the previous year. In addition, the volumes transmitted were slightly below plan compared to the previous year. In contrast, higher investments in the growing grid infrastructure boosted earnings. The switch to the new electricity regulation period also led to a positive contribution to earnings, partly due to the increased regulated asset base and simultaneous reduction in imputed costs.
