Hi all, I am planning to put a large sum of money into a World-Etf.

Now the question which $ISAC (+1,03%) or $VWCE (+1,04%) .

Except for the diversification, the two hardly differ. Maybe someone can tell me a few more decisive aspects.

Best regards.

There are more shares in the FTSE, but it costs 0.02% more TER 🤷🏽‍♂️ I think in the end it's like a good running shoe. Whether it says Adidas or Nike on it doesn't matter as long as it serves you well. You'll definitely find one or two differences between the two, but in the end, choosing one or the other won't be a mistake. In my opinion, both are top etfs that do their job with minimal variation in individual nuances.

Also check out $FTWG, it's cheaper than the Vanguard.

@randomdude So I ask myself: Why? There are now plenty of world ETFs. What gap in demand is he supposed to fill now?

@Epi The calculation of the smaller providers is surely to get a few million from the billions that iShares manages. This is probably more lucrative than offering the first 3x leveraged short ETF on the Russell 2000.

@randomdude You may be right. In that case, however, a need of the provider is satisfied here, not of the customer.

@Epi Competition among ETF providers has more than halved TERs in recent years. Surely this is in the interests of customers.

They are both great.
Personally, I'd choose the ISAC. The fund size is large enough but the smaller TER and also the smaller share price would make me choose it. I dont buy fractional shares so the smaller share price helps with regular contributions.

The only reason to go for the Vanguard one probably is the Vanguard brand, and that's ok too if it makes you feel better.

And of course the fund volume*

It also depends on what you mean by a larger sum and which broker you are with. I'm in a similar situation. I will save several ETF's per month with ING via a savings plan...
