$OMV (+1,22%) The Austrian oil and gas group OMV has announced a gas discovery in the Norwegian Sea. According to preliminary estimates, the total recoverable volume is between 30 and 140 million barrels of oil equivalent.

"We want to increase the share of gas in our production portfolio to 60 percent by 2030," said Berislav Gašo, OMV's Chief Energy Officer, according to the press release. "With an economically recoverable gas deposit, we can further diversify our overall portfolio and add value to our portfolio in Norway."
