•@Jkjk Once upon a time, a long time ago, Prosieben was still a small regional TV station. The company was struggling to find enough advertisers to cover their costs, and management was faced with a difficult decision: either lower the quality of their broadcasts or invest in expensive technology to increase their reach. Eventually, management decided to make the investment and obtained revolutionary technology that allowed them to broadcast programs directly into viewers' brains. At first, everything seemed to work great, but soon strange side effects began to appear: Viewers began to confuse reality and fiction, and uncontrolled mass hallucinations began to occur. The government intervened and ended the experiment, but it was too late: the damage was irreparable. Prosieben was sued and ordered to pay an enormous fine that completely drained their finances, and since then the company has done everything they can to pay off their debts and restore their reputation. They have scaled back their investments and focused on producing boring and uninspired programs to make sure no more accidents happen, which is the real story of why Prosieben doesn't pay dividends. But they hope that at some point they will have saved enough money to resume their technological ambitions and maybe one day get a second chance.
