If you consider that a large proportion of the products in China are produced with machines from Germany.
In principle, we have destroyed the German solar industry with our machines.
Could the German automotive industry suffer the same fate?
Did we make China so strong in the first place with our know-how in mechanical engineering and could this have been avoided by not supplying the machines?
Should we have avoided selling KukA to China?

Was it not we ourselves who made China so strong by not protecting our know-how well enough?

@Tenbagger2024 yes..that's how it looks.... worked for a freight forwarder in the 90s who transported Tatra trucks by ship from the Czech Republic to China..they would still be riding bikes today

Well, would we still be producing so cheaply today?

@Tenbagger2024 I think it's broken down too much to "poor Germany".

Every country has benefited for years. Free trade benefits everyone. And China, with its domestic market, has naturally grown more than Germany. Include all countries - and size/number of inhabitants/geography determines progress.

@Tenbagger2024 can actually happen to any country. It can also happen to anyone. Anyone can overtake and copy you. This is not because the information is available (research). It's how willing others are to learn and develop. You can read everything on the Internet, how to build mechanical engineering is not secret research like Area51.
