Hola!

A question for all Austrian residents: REITs are taxed as non-reporting funds, which is why stocks like $O (+0,36%) are not worthwhile.

But what about $MAIN (+0,85%) what is the situation? I always put it in the REIT corner without doing any further research until I recently found out that it isn't a REIT at all.

Is it $MAIN (+0,85%) also treated as a non-reporting fund? I've just googled it, but somehow I can't find a satisfactory answer.

Thanks for your answers! :)

@7Trader Is something planned? When I was thinking about it earlier, I thought of it as a great alternative to Realty Income, for example.

@Kimono_93 As far as I know, nothing of the sort is currently planned.

$MAIN is a BDC, not a REIT, but I don't know whether it is taxed differently in your country.

@DividendFocus then that's just as shit as a ride for Austria, unfortunately
@seppl6431 What is different from Altria, for example?

@seppl6431 No, that is not true. Main Street Capital is not taxed like a REIT in Austria
