I worked in advertising for Mercedes myself. What you have to give MB credit for is that they have disrupted the entire automotive marketing by moving away from dull "car porn" and numbers, data, facts - towards emotions and putting the customer in the foreground. The re-branding from hat and suspenders brand to lifestyle brand was perfect.
Today, all car companies are emulating this.
Despite my involvement in e-mobility at VW, I don't think much of the technology at all. It's pure greenwashing and the political reason why so many companies are now jumping over the cliff and having sales problems.
The right, ecological solution for the environment and the consumer would be the methanol fuel cell. But this has no political lobby đ
To your question: In my opinion, the most beautiful MBs have already been built (SL 300, SL 280, W/108). The brand has degenerated into a pure southern redneck slingshot.
BMW certainly not.
I'll stick with my 911.

âą@KrustyKrab Amen! I still think Audi is okay, but I associate BMW and MB with exactly the clientele described.
That's my occupation on the city highway, guess who's sitting in the fat car. Black AMG = 99% young, male southerners.
