The German air cab start-up Volocopter is under financial pressure due to high costs and delays.
The Chinese 🇨🇳 car company Geely
$175 (-3,68%)which is already a minority shareholder, is negotiating a takeover of 85 percent of of the shares for 90 million euros.
This could increase Volocopter's valuation to around 104 million euros.
There are plans for a possible relocation production to China, while the German site serves as a reference.
In September 2024 ex-Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche took over as Chairman of the Advisory Board to prepare Volocopter for a potential IPO.
