I hope Trump comes to power again. Harris is Baerbock's sister and will continue to destroy the USA like Biden is currently doing. Strong USA -> Strong Europe.

@Wojtek Trump keeps threatening to leave NATO. To what extent do you think this will benefit a "strong Europe"?

@Paulll You can't rest on the shoulders of others all your life!

@Wojtek I don't know whether an anti-democrat like Trump should really be given so much power again.
He says so many things as if he had Hitler's Mein Kampf as a Bible on his bedside table.

@Seebi Trump has just as little idea about politics and only successfully stirs up hostile images and fears.

@Seebi Comparisons with our politicians don't help. If an autocrat comes to power in the most powerful country in the world and manages to change the democratic structures so that he can act as an autocrat, which he clearly says and wants, then we will have Nazi Germany 2.0, only in XXL. And then all countries on this fuck planet will have a problem.

I just don't understand how you can vote for someone like Trump. But USA, what can you say 👀🙈

@Dominik_Finanzen and the majority also don't understand how you can vote Green or AfD, and yet unfortunately many do.

It will certainly be a close result, but you have to expect everything. For one thing, that the USA will elect the first convicted US president in history (that I know of so far). Or what could also happen is that if "lying baron" Trump doesn't win, there will again be long legal proceedings and riots in countless cities. Because he is already of the opinion that there is fraud in the election. Without any evidence.

In any case, if Trump becomes president, I am curious to see whether he will make good on his threat to "force" all foreign car manufacturers to produce their vehicles in the US so that they can sell them there or to avoid punitive tariffs.

I recently read a nice comment on this from @Iwanowitsch: "I don't really care who becomes president. The more I've looked into this question, the more I see pros and cons for each candidate and ultimately there's nothing I could do about it and theoretically the outcome shouldn't change much in my life. That's definitely how it was in the past."

This expresses my attitude to the outcome of the election very well. If I had to decide for myself, I would probably lean towards Trump, but not because of Trump, but rather because I currently prefer the Republicans to the Democrats.

@FEAR I think a lot of republicans will vote for Harris this time, for example Arnold Schwarzenegger is haha

In the event of a Trump victory, the markets could initially react positively:
Shares in financial companies and banks are likely to benefit from expected deregulation4
The planned corporate tax cut from 21% to 15% could boost S&P 500 companies' profits by around 4%5
However, the technology sector could suffer from potential new trade conflicts
Harris victory scenario
In the event of a Harris victory, share prices could fall in the short term:
The planned corporate tax hike to 28% could reduce S&P 500 companies' earnings by around 6%5
However, renewable energy and infrastructure stocks could benefit8
The technology sector should remain largely stable8
