I've watched this Sparkojote's Dividend Thursday a few times.
Here he analyzes portfolios together with a Johannes.
Unfortunately, they were hardly ever prepared.
Neither of them were familiar with any well-known companies.
Fundamental figures were not discussed at all.
And they constantly rambled on about other irrelevant things.
Quite funny, but also more like the two oppas from the Muppets show
It wasn't worth much more to me.
But I still respect what the young man has achieved.

@Tenbagger2024 I have a similar view. He has made a lot out of a niche (comics / trading cards). I still don't understand why his blog is about finance. His ETFs are completely solid, I think all investments where he evaluates KPIs are pretty poor. For him, income is the key, not returns.

@KevinE Thomas bought Meta at the low point. He also got into cryptos early on. He also bought a lot of gold and the gold price rose sharply to new ATHs.

Yes, I think he has a good nose.
Nevertheless, I would like this Dividend Thursday to be a bit more professional.
But he's a good role model for young people and promotes the share culture, so I don't want to badmouth him.
Because badmouthing often also means envy, but I wholeheartedly grant him his success.

@Techaktien that also fits. But he couldn't value gold or crypto with KPI. I don't see him being strong in equities.

I can't say whether he knew that gold and crypto were going through the roof.

@KevinE
I think he was also involved with Nvidia quite early on.
But since he didn't provide me with much added value, I haven't followed him lately.
And with Johannes I had the impression that he only had ETFs in his portfolio. Because he didn't even know companies like Itochu etc..

@Tenbagger2024 Well, he is self-employed in a completely different field. So a certain degree of caution is advisable anyway.

I believe that it is very difficult for someone to become a specialist in two different areas. Someone who is really focused on business - which in his case has little or nothing to do with the stock market / investing - can hardly spend enough time to become really good at technical and/or fundamental analysis.

After all, he worked considerably more than 40 hours - especially in the first few years. So where is the time supposed to come from to deal intensively with investments? (Even if it seems to have worked out quite well for the most part).

You can't put him on a par with Pip Klöckner or even Jonathan Neuscheler or C.W. Roehl.

But as far as I could follow, he had already worked at a Swiss bank before.
And he often hangs around at BX Swiss and at investment days.
And is also praised there as a professional.
I've even seen him interviewed at an event together with Robert Halver and Tim Schäfer.

CW Roehl is no longer independent and has been bought by an online broker.
And Jonathan is busy doing Parqet analyses for the competition.
I'm curious to see when a familiar face will do something for getquin.
